Tiger XRx Low and No center Stand - Is he doomed ?
« on: March 20, 2017, 09:53:26 PM »
Well with all the research and head hitting, a short height midget finally brought a Tiger XRx Low . This midget had forever dreams of conquering all the roads of the world with his new machine "Sleek". Yea that her name. But later he got to know that there is no official center stand accessory for the bike . He doesn't have that much strength to lift her in remote parts of the world , if she run into any issues other than cursing the Gods  :232: . Lubing the chains or flat tyre or pre ride checks. To do that he needs her to be fitted with center stand.

Any help or pointers to his helpless guys is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

P.S:- That midget is me ! Yea of course we know.

Get a center stand for a regular XR and have it shortened.  :027:

I suspect that the reason why Triumph don't fit a stand to the low bikes might be clearance issues with cornering.
If there are no cornering issues the OP could simply carry a block of wood then run the back wheel up onto that before operating the (normal length) stand.

The US model also have a charcoal canister near to the rear suspension which is a problem for center stands . I saw some write up in sw-motech center stand. I do not want to remove the charcoal canister as the bike is just 2 weeks old.

To my surprise, if you check the below link from triump for xrx low , the motorcycle shows a center stand, i think they build a couple of low with center stand to showcase in the picture then .

The Triumph center stand works fine with the canister intact.

They list a short center stand. If you add all the other parts you get $230.79. That's less than the standard kit. :062:

I assume that short stand is the one for the 19" front wheel bikes not one specifically for the Low variants.
