When I test rode the XC I forgot to look at how the rear suspension is adjusted, does anyone know?

think there's a quick adjustment knob at one side, but not sure, or which side.

it's on the right side iirc the two demontrators i looked at had what looked to be a 10mm nut with a flat head slot in the top of it, i asked the question about adjustment as i thought it was supposed to be hydraulically adustable not have to get a spanner/flat headed screw driver out to adjust it

Firestarter's right - you need a flat head screwdriver to adjust the rear preload. I had a look on the demo bike and it looks easily accessible.

Pre load as above and rebound damping on XC is at the bottom of the unit also by slotted adjuster.

Agreed, but I will say you need quite a long one, a dumpy wont be enough, I reckon 5" in order to get to the screw head inside the frame

Here's how you do it on the standard, not the XC but probably the same.

Exactly the same as the Tiger 1050....adjusting the preload is easy enough, but the damping is a fiddle, you really need to lay down next to the bike.

EXCELLENT, but all Greek to me.
Seriously, if you can do it with an English soundtrack it would be wonderful. That quality video deserves a wider audience.

It's not my video. It was made for a Greek motorcycle review site.
Anyway, it just says that you need to get the screwdriver from the toolbox under the seat.
Also, I thought I posted it as a link that would take you directly at 2m 10s but it got embedded somehow and starts at the beginning.
