Oil Changed at 170 Miles

Well... any potential wear caused by metal fragments during break-in likely wouldn't cause any significant issues during those first two years, but rather later in the engine's life. So if you only keep bikes for short periods of time, I suppose it's a nonissue. But I break my vehicles in under the assumption I'll be keeping them for a long time and putting a lot of miles on them. I'm looking to avoid potential problems long after the warranty has expired.

well spotted, you are correct, i mean somewhere on a road, hopefully warmer than here

depending on when (not if,  don't go there) Im reckoning on doing the run in either before or during the ride of respect weekend (http://www.rideofrespect.co.uk/). don't plan on any motorway stuff though.. its a bimble down the Welsh side of the border to, and the English side back. should be around 6..7 hours inclusive of stops all in each day

TBH honest if the delivery gets late then I'm tempted to do it as a swansong on the Versys. Im almost  sad to see the Versys go, its been such fun, but I expect the 800 to a bit better in almost all categories so looking forward to the tiger's arrival
