xcx 2015, xc 2014 seats
« on: August 04, 2015, 08:12:59 PM »
:440: my butt as it is referred too, to the left of 30 west, is a little sore , so I need to change my seat, the gel seat is better "but " still has the problem of the base sticking in the base of my spine ,if I move aft, I am 6" 5.

 so it's a rebuild ,
 Corbin,
 or Sargent,
for a rebuild I thought I might buy a old seat of e bay ,but will a 2014 fit I am told its a different part number ,and the plastics differ
 for the Corbin same issues

Sargent no issues

so my question will a 2014 seat fit my xcx 2015

Yes it does!

My comfort seat from my 2012 roady shown here on my 2015 XCX. Evidence supplied in attached pictures your honour.
2012 and 2014 models are in the same modelrange (2011-2014).

Go for it!

Thanks that's really helpful, and from a man with decent panniers, I got sold those nasty plastic things.

just a decision to make on which seat, can't seem to get any Saddelman info

I'd reply in Dutch, of course you may just live there, but I have a sneaky suspicion, my flat matE way back from NL only taught me obscenities, the word for Chicken been part of some phrases

I presume that the different part numbers are something to do with the provision for heated seat wiring rather than the actual seat base or mounting design.

I have a Touratech seat which I find very much better than the standard seat which was awesomely uncomfortable.  I'd highly recommend it.

It's a terrible thing, I think, in life to wait until you're ready. I have this feeling now that actually no one is ever ready to do anything. There is almost no such thing as ready. There is only now. And you may as well do it now. Generally speaking, now is as good a time as any.

My understanding is that there are minor changes to the stitching and material of the 2015 seats, but the pans are the same and will, therefore, interchange.
