Screen deflector
« on: May 04, 2016, 05:32:24 PM »
I'm thinking of buying a Wunderlich wind deflector for the top of my screen.
There appears to be a couple of  different versions ,Can anyone tell me which one of these fits a Tiger 800 high screen?
Cheers

Hi - sorry but I can't answer your question however I would like to ask you one if that's ok!?

I have a 2016 Tiger 800 XRT with the standard screen and am thinking of replacing with the higher one.  Worth it?

I am not a fan of the non-Triumph screens...

Hi Dan.
It's better than the standard screen, but it's still not great hence the addition of a wind deflector.
Do a search on the forum and put a couple of hours aside to read! :087:

answers to both of your questions,
I have the wind deflector and Triumph Tall screen for sale and save a few quid also.
the deflector fits on to standard and tall screen,
Take a look at my for sale link below,

If it's a help to you, here's a picture of my Wunderlich deflector fitted to my Gvi touring screen.
It's the none Ergo version I think.
Works well, for me, but only a minor improvement over the Givi screen. I think my new crash helmet has made a bigger difference to wind noise / buffeting than the Wunderlich deflector actually !

I had the Touratech deflector on my Roadie and it made a big difference to the airflow and noise. I never had a problem with buffeting with or without the deflector. With the deflector I just had a really nice gentle breeze in my face even at 60mph which is great seeing as I ride visor up most of the time.

On my 2016 XRX with the adjustable screen I think the screen position in the high setting works very similar to the Roadie with the deflector for me. I haven't gotten around ti using the deflector on the XRX yet. I might see if I can clip it on and go for a ride on Sunday.

Here is the Roadie with the deflector on.

In this shot you can see how the angle of the deflector just kicks the air up higher so it goes more over the riders head
