Cheers guys! Yea was great to meet you all. Awesome time.

Wullie I binned it at over a hundred wearing a Dainese textile jacket. Rode the grass verge like a berm, soon as I touched the tarmac the jacket became a T-Shirt. Yup, it's leathers for me.

I rest my case.  There is a reason racers wear leathers...

Glad you survived it!   :028:

I was going at 60 (ish) and hit a car doing 60 (ish) 3/4's on, bounced off hit a truck's cab then slid up the road with my bike on top of me, Bering textile jacket and trousers with rip stop fabric and CE armour, a few small holes in the back of the jacket, but no tears, paramedics had to get the big shears out to cut them off me  :028:

It's like everything else, buy the best quality you can afford, many modern textiles are at least as good as the average leathers, 1.0mm thick perforated leather suits may be nice in summer, but don't compare with 3.0mm thick buffalo hide racing leathers  :016:

:0461:  There are textiles, then there are textiles.........................Some I've seen would be better categorised as a paddock jacket, only good for keeping the chill out when walking around.
Sometimes I like to squat down, put my arms around my legs and lean forward but that's just how I roll.

Dilbert, Bering kit sounds sounds worth a look!
I'm a skateboarder so I've had quite a bit of experience of falling and as such I'm quite particular about not just the material, but the padding. Hence the choice of Dianese. With you on the crap quality of some leather jackets too and why do they sell mainly perforated jackets in the UK? It's beyond me.
Luckily I didn't hit anything, hope you were alright dude.
