Seems rude not to know how to pronounce the place where I'm visiting.

For me it would be

hlan - uh - ted - wells

The "Ll" is always the stumbling block; sounding it as "cl" is an option, but a bit crude.
Try this simple solution:
Make a "ssss" sound, like in "hiss", now do it with your tongue pushed gently to the roof of your mouth. It should make a soft sound. Easy. That's the "Llan" bit sorted, now the the "wr", wrrr will do, as in the noise that something going round and round makes..., "tyd" can be done as tid.
There ya go, that's my way.
Llan..., wr..., tyd.
Hope that's close.

Ll - put the tip of your tongue on the roof pallet just behind your top front teeth and blow out the gap at the sides of your tongue.
An - as is in English
Wr -  wrr
Tyd - tidd

Wells - as in Orson

well you could always ask the locals when you are visiting for any pronunciation tips.
but as a starter for 10, no one outside of Essex ever needs to hear a sentence ending with innit  :492:

however I suspect after a few pints or the Heart of Wales Brewery's finest no one will care how you pronounce it (the beers name, the pub, the village....  :010:

Llandrindod Wells, is harder and often referred to as "Clang-ding-dong-bells" instead by cheeky Englishmen  :033:
Now available in "Batman"
