scottish north coast 500
« on: May 29, 2017, 09:23:51 PM »
I have just returned from a week in Scotland doing the north coast 500, I saw loads of Tigers, singular and in groups. we did it anti clockwise. so if anyone saw a white tiger two up fully loaded with a red stuff sack on the top box it was me. I gave a wave, nod or foot out to any bikers we saw..
if you are thinking about doing, I would say do it. brilliant ride.

I did it last May in the clockwise direction with a mate (B&B) and with hindsight I wouldn't do the east coast from Wick southwards (but then it wouldn't be the NC500), we didn't find it scenic at all.

So this May we returned by car  :004: with the wives (too cold for mine in May for the bike) and did all the western coast up to Durness but on route went from Skye to Lewis & Harris and then back across from Stornaway to Ullapool and stopped in Lochinver again.

Great B&B's to stop at.

Yes I was up there last week also Nige, saw and waved to many Tigers. Perhaps you were one of them. Fab roads and scenery. :031:
