Touring In north Wales
Started on just about centre of the the two oil marker lines.
Done 700 miles in 3. Days and the oil level is now just below the bottom indicator
Is this normal?
Just by woods motorcycles in Abergele so top up tomorrow.
Not had the oil usage on previous bikes (no. Triumph) is this the norm?
Thanks
Chris

I would say it is not normal but are you checking the oil level the same way both times? Engine same temp, bike vertical and level, etc?
How many total miles on the bike and what is its normal usage?

Haven't used any in 24,000
No doubt an American or New Zealander will be along in a mo to put us right...

The reason could be, and it's been mentioned quite a few times on the forum, how the engine is run in for its first 1000 miles.
Show it who is boss from early doors and don't spare the whip.

My '14 Tiger used oil during the first 2,500 to 3,000 miles, since then almost nothing. Recently did 800 miles in 2 days, almost no change in oil level.
