Advise on a Mastad screen
« on: September 26, 2017, 12:06:55 PM »
Hi guys, bit of advice please.

I have the chance to buy a little used mastad screen.

The concern I have it's an 18" screen model. The guy selling it is 5'9" and I'm 6'2".

Will I find this too short for me?  I know they come in longer lengths so ..

Any ideas ?

Ta

I am 6'2" and have an 18 " Madstad screen.  Perfect!  Only issue I have ever found with it is coming up behind large vehicle you can get a bit of buffeting.  Other than that, far superior to either of the OEM screens.

Thanks for the help. Can't see a model name or number. It's comes with 2 small what I guess are side winglets / screens. Do they all?

as long as you can see over the top, its a legal requirement in most, if not all of Europe..
don't forget its not really your height, its your torso length, my mate sits higher than me but he is short in the leg, long in body, so is actually 2 inch shorter stood up.

The winglets are an extra cost option giving just that bit more protection so worth having.

You can also buy a genuine replacement, screen only (no brackets) to suit your requirements HERE
They don't advertise the option of screen only, but if you contact them they are usually happy to oblige. Not cheap (I paid around 70) but still far cheaper than an entire setup.  :028:
