He suggested it was due to either poor adjustment, poor quality oil, lack of servicing or plain wear and tear. He even had the cheek to say my bike had not been serviced for three years and 8,000 miles. His records are incomplete and I had to email him the stamped service record.
The bike was serviced two months before the clutch overheated and completely failed. He is not interested in me as a customer so goodbye Triumph!
The records thing is down to the dealer not triumph. So if the dealer can't complete a simple online processi wouldn't have to much faith in them completing a service correctly.
There have been very few clutch issues and even amount those a fair few were admitted abuse. Search is your friend.  :300:

"The clutch basket also looks pretty flimsy.

I've already waited three weeks for parts. It'll be three more weeks before I get the new washer in. This is absurd. This'll be my last Triumph." 

Can anyone else comment on the quality of the clutch basket?
