Mud guard plastic broken

More flimsy plastic. The front mud guard plastic broke on both side attachments. Made aluminium brace repair. Here it is.
Laterally unstable unless moving.

My mudguard has had cracks from the beginning. I was thinking along the lines that you fabricated. Thanks for the pictures. Looks like a good plan.

good idea, but wouldn't a full loop from one side to the other be better/stronger?

making it and fitting it before it breaks may be even better/easier to fabricate? , (I will have a go at that)

Now that we know the plastic will break, reinforcing it beforehand is a sensible precaution.
But....'better' is the enemy of 'good enough'......keep it simple.
