2017 XCa rear shock
« on: January 09, 2018, 12:08:01 AM »
Hi folks, just looking for collective feedback on an issue I'm trying to track down.
When I go over speed humps, or poor pavement I get a 'knock' coming from the rear of my bike. This happens at low speed but have heard it at say 60kph as well.
I did a search a while back and found some info about gassing problems on the WP rear shock from factory that caused a knock, but can't seem to find that again, has anyone heard of it ?
I've taken all the tools out from under the seat, top box off etc trying to track this down but still not sure what it is. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Rob

Hi, yes I do... That's worth looking into, I'll tape it up and see if it makes a difference. Thanks

Hey mate,
Did you find the answer to the knock ? Just picked up a 2016 XCA and I am getting the same symptoms.
Cheers Jim

It's the chain guard slapping the bottom of the swing arm
