Kaoko with Barkbusters and Oxford Heated Grips
« on: January 13, 2018, 05:19:38 AM »
Today I tried to install the Kaoko throttle lock. I have Oxford heated grips and Bark Busters on my bike. I have run into some problems so was hoping others that have installed it can help.
The grips hang a fair bit past the throttle tube so I cut it back.

But when putting the Kaoko on I have a big gap.

Looks like the grip was cut back a bit too much, and you need a shim of some sort to fill out the space.

The instructions said the plastic washer has to press against the throttle tube and not the rubber so I had to cut it that much for that to happen.

So I got my Kaoko installed. Sometimes it really does help to read the instructions  :156:. It says that in some cases you may need to move the throttle towards the outside of the bar, once I did this all was good.
