Xrx vs Xr
« on: February 13, 2018, 07:33:37 PM »
Hi There
I am new to this forum and as of yet do not have a tiger but I have wanted one for the last three years. At last I have convinced my wife and three kids that It would make me a happy man to own one.
I am hoping to purchase one as soon as I see what I am looking for but I am wondering apart from the cruise control feature are there any other differences between the 2015 XRX and the XR models?

Tinkering is what happens when you try something you dont quite know how to do, guided by whim, imagination, and curiosity.

I think you have to go to the xrx for a centre stand. Pretty useful.

Thanks, it looks like from that site the differences are changeable modes, adjustable screen, more comfortable seat etc but I wonder if thats on the just new 2018 model.

When I got my xrx I thought the price difference for the mods you get on the xrx was worth the extra to the xr. Centre stand, cruise control, seats, extra power point, etc

Mav what year is your xrx as I would be looking at a 2015 to 2016 xrx or xr.

Mine is 2017, which would be the same as a 2016.

Did laugh at this post as I managed to convince the boss.....I mean the wife to let me get one after a lot of persuading, very proud of my Tiger in the garage now!
Anyway as the dealer said what you get with the XRX over the XR the XRX is more value money if you added up the mods you get extra. :417:

I think the only differences are as Mav says.
When i was looking i wanted the XR because i did not want cruise control etc, the centre stand for me was the only thing i did want, but these can be fitted after purchase, I think the cruise control, and extra socket, etc are ok if you are going to use them, but if not are just another thing to go wrong,
I think that the higher specs may make them more desirable second hand, but i would prefer to spend the difference in price on extras i do want, I have my bike advertised on this site with extras i thought were desirable for me, ie centre stand, Madstad screen, pannier racks etc, but at the end of the day, it's your personal choice, Dave
