:084: Going to be close (2 weeks for annual hols next month and another week off for the Lake District end of September already booked) but I'll see if I have 3 spare days available tomorrow and if those dates still have spaces available. Unfortunately I start dayshifts on the Thursday (7th) and getting weekends off is always a bit tight, ironically I need more days off for this minimeet than last weekends megameet. :003:

well if it were me  :017:
A466 Chepstow to Monmouth, prob stay on A466 towards Hereford
    or possibly B4347 to B4348
A438 towards Glasbury, pick up the A470 to Builth Wells.
    then
    Either

A470 to Rhyader and on through the Elan Valley towards Aberwristwatch via A4210 and A44, then A4159 to Machynlleth,A 487 towards  Dollgellau, A494 towards Bala A5 to Betws

    OR
    A483 to Newtown, then
poss A489 towards Aberwristwatch, a470 to Dollgellau and then A494 towards Bala A5 to Betws
    or
    B4389, B4382, B4391, then towards Bala A5 to Betws

"must do" roads, assuming you have the time are
    A466 Chepstow to Monmouth
    A483 croissgates to newtown
    A487 Mach to Dollgeallau

No doubt Dallewed and Mrs Dallewed can give a bit more on the stuff south of Builth Wells, and alternatives to Aberwristwatch
if you have the time theres plenty to ride in North & Mid Wales to keep you occupied for several days, mebbe a week

:152: Had enough hols left and the last spaces to actually take the complete 4 days off (Thurs, Fri, Sat & Sun). :046:
Plus the added advantage of 4 on 4 off shifts means 4 days hols = 12 days off work. :152:
