Where does this fit
« on: May 16, 2018, 09:17:04 PM »
I have seen a clutch cable guide offered for sale all over the place. Where the hell does it go. I have trawled the internet but cant find an answer.

Pretty sure that will be the bracket the bottom end of the clutch cable outer is adjusted and locked in .... top of the cam chain cover / bottom of the cylinders RH side.

Thanks for that, just looked and cant really see how it fits. In the pictures it appears to have 2 fixing holes but I can only see one on the bike.

Did you locate where the bracket fits as I have just taken a look at the bike and as you mentioned the standard bracket (on my 2016) only has 1 fixing screw hole and a small locating hole that sits on a locating dowel. Can't find any other clutch cable related brackets.  :187:

Just looked at the bracket again and enlarged the picture and although it looks like 2 fixing holes initially I'm fairly sure the upper hole is smaller and is the dowel locating hole.  :028:

I was tempted by the WOT offer, but then had a moment of clarity and realised that because I had to actually research where it went I didn't need it!  The original RRP is crazy for a tiny piece of metal, plus the rest of the engine is black as they only do grey and red.

I'm saving my money for when the Arrow cans are reduced again!

I did the same, had the red bracket and oil filler cap in the basket then decided that really the current black bits do the job quite adequately. Also removed the Optimate/power socket lead as I really have enough adaptors. Bought a few cheap bargains though.  :028:

I got the grey one. You cant beat a bit of cheap bling.
