Thinking of buying one...
« on: June 13, 2018, 07:26:19 PM »

Since it's my first post here, so don't be too hard on me...  :002:
So, I am an owner of Aprilia Pegaso Trail and I'm thinking to upgrade my ride and to move to a Tiger XC 800 from 2011. I found one for 7000 Euro (around 6150 GBP), with lots of addons and which looks ok. Is there something specific that I have to look at? The link from the ad it is below (translated with Google):

Thanks for the input

Sounds a little expensive to me, I would have thought around 5200 (5900Euro), that sort of figure. It does come with lots of extras though.

However bikes might be more expensive in your country, I don't know.

It does indeed seem well over priced for an early MK I - no matter how many extras it has.

Welcome ni311 and whilst a good choice [Black Tiger XC  :028:] ... it is what it is, a 2011 Model!

OK, it has the Black frame so is the 'second generation' variant after the early Silver Frame ones ..... but at 7500 euros, unless the market where you are is very short of the supply of bikes putting a premium on their price, the market value of a 2011 one over here even with those extras would be between 4500 to 4900 [about ... euros 5150 > 5611] .... as after all it is a seven year old one!

If you've that sort of money to spend on a Tiger (7500 euros) then I'd do as the person selling this one has and take a trip to the UK, pick one up over here  ... [you can do a quick search on to see what's available ] and thus save yourself a load of money?  Just a thought  :027:

For what it worth ... just had a quick look on MCN and there's a 2012 Orange XC for 4999 private sale  and a 2013 XC at a dealers for 5999 .... so some better bargains to be had?  :084:
