Just planning my route for the NRR 2018, next weekend.

Going to use the tiger, this year

Anyone else doing it?

I've done it twice 2003 & 2005 both Gold awards, excellent fun and good fun planning the route - First time we did it no Sat Nav's, they were the days  :152:

If I remember rightly travelling from East Kent to first check point and then finishing in Birmingham and getting home again we covered some 830 odd miles in about 26hrs  :028:

Best advise is try to get half hours kip at one of your stops otherwise you can feel tired in the early hrs, other than that it's great seeing all the other bikes going in all different directions, and some of the check points are Ace with free burgers & drinks  :031:

Have fun I'll probably do it again in a few years but at the moment I'm planning my slightly longer trip to Greece in 7 weeks time  :028:

I've done it several times in the past and enjoyed it. I remember using a till roll inside a plastic box as a roller map. It was all part of the fun. In 2000 I did the National, the Welsh and the Scottish rallies for which the organisers issued a special millennium award. Now my eyesight is not so sharp I prefer not to ride at night.
Have fun, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

It's my 5th or 6th year on the trot now.

I've done it on my 350 YPVS and the Harley XR1200 that the Tiger has replaced.

This should be the comfiest year I hope.
