I complained about the spongy front brake when I had the initial 500 mile service, but it came back just the same.
I think it's a feature of the Nissin master cylinder (MC), as I have the same MC on a couple of my old bikes, which exhibit the same sponginess/excess lever travel.
By way of contrast, the radial MC on my 2009 Street Triple is rock solid with very little lever movement to activate the brake.
Come on, Triumph - we need a better master cylinder.
