Dec forks into an xc
« on: July 16, 2018, 10:13:42 AM »
Has anyone tried to fit a set of the WP forks of the newer xcx into the older xc?

Will they go into the current tripple clamps? Will the wheel, brakes & mudguard fit?

It's it a replace everything from the frame down?

My RH fork upper is completely scrapped so trying to find a solution

IIRC the yokes are the same so they should go in OK

Can't say on the guards etc but I can't think of any possible major issues.

Tinkering is what happens when you try something you dont quite know how to do, guided by whim, imagination, and curiosity.

Pesky predictive text buggering up the thread title   :015:

after a conversation with my local dealer, it seems that the fork legs are different diameters. It's possible that the entire front end could swap straight on with the tripple clamps as well but I'm not willing to shell out 500+ to find out.
