Dealer lifetime warranty
« on: September 14, 2018, 03:36:49 PM »
Hi all, I bought my 2013 roadie back in January and it came with a lifetime warranty provided I service it with them, fair enough I thought make sense that they can stand behind the warranty so long as they service it....so I just got a quote for the 12k service and I think I now understand how they can do this and cover any warranty claims, after I got back up off the floor I started to think is it worth it to keep servicing the bike at these cost to keep the warranty valid or considering its a fairly modern bike that so long as it is serviced (by a non main dealer) and looked after it should give me years of trouble free riding? Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

I thought as much, checked out his website and have emailed him, what a saving!.  Does shake your confidence in main dealers though when it looks like a great offer only to be stung months later for fear of loosing the warranty. I imagine a lot of people get worried and pay up  :110:

That is not significantly more than what my 20k kms service cost in Australia from The Triumph dealer who is also the Triumph importer and basically has the market stitched up. The good thing is my warranty is now finished.

Clive Woods, swineshead, Lincolnshire.  Independent triumph specialist.

He's got a website if any one wants contact details. Not used him myself but he's sure popular on the tiger1050 site.
