Clive Woods, swineshead, Lincolnshire.  Independent triumph specialist.

He's got a website if any one wants contact details. Not used him myself but he's sure popular on the tiger1050 site.

Found Clive on google but couldn't find a website, he's 3.5hrs away from me, looks like a lot of people travel to get their bikes done though. I'll have to weigh up travel and stay over costs ect. Anybody know of anyone nearer to Liverpool/Merseyside area??

Cheers

Not sure if the situation is still the same now but when Clive originally moved up to Lincolnshire a few years ago he had a room available at his place on a sort of B & B basis I guess for those long distance customers.

Had several 12,000 services done on mine, albeit a few years ago, and the older model, but generally around 300-350 if "stuff" required, all at Staffordshire Triumph, not that dear place in Chester  :016:

Thanks Dilbert, I'll give them a bell. Only about 10 mins further than going to the place in Manchester.

Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated. Cheers
The "lifetime warranty" only covers engine and gearbox, nothing else. So you have to ask yourself what are the chances of your engine or gearbox failing catastrophically?

Contact for Clive Wood is 07752 477738.
Yes he used to and think still does b&b.
May be worth a call. He has many customers from all over the UK and many from your area.

Finally booked in at Staffordshire Triumph, had a good chat with them talked me through all the options and scenarios, gave me some confidence in them so happy to go there, cheaper too plus free courtesy bike, the place was charging per day.

Thanks for all the advice and recommendations guys, great forum  :152:

:

On each of my 6, 12 and recent 18k service I had the dealer collect and return my bike (FOC) in the van. I could have had a courtesy bike but I begrudge signing a 3k excess waiver for any accident or damage.  :211: :232:

That's at my dealer .... I'm not saying it is the same everywhere. I don't recall the excess being that high on the 'Demo' ride bikes I've had so maybe it is that high to discourage the demand for courtesy bikes at my dealer?  :027:
