Exhausts for latest models
« on: September 21, 2018, 12:19:48 PM »
I currently have my eyes set to a 2018 XRT, it has all the options one could wish, except it has the standard exhaust. I know the new exhaust have better sound, but i want more braaap.

Are the exhausts of older models still compatible? Or do i need to look specifically for 2017 models? Any recommendations for nice sounding/looking carbon exhausts?

Anyone? Nobody has tried fitting a older exhaust to one of the newer models?

I've been looking around, and most sites mention that exhausts are suitable to tiger ranging from 2011 to 2016 ...

Ah, excellent ... was any adaptation required, or did it just fit?

Very nice btw ... i like the old style arrow cans more than the new ones.

ps: Just bought an xrt in the same color as yours ;)
Has a standard exhaust on it which sounds ok, but looks a bit bland ...

Best colour xrt.:)
Just to let you know that the new Tiger Arrow, EU version doesn't have a removable baffle. I've been told there are a few American Arrows around with removable baffles. I was told that someone had an American one fitted, removed the baffle and for some reason it melted the indicator. Triumph refused to uphold a warranty claim as the pipe wasn't EU spec. The new stock pipe is around 3kg lighter than the old one and the new arrow is around 1.5kg lighter than the old arrow.
Don't know anymore than that but hope this helps you with your choice.

My one is an EU version Arrow and the baffles are not removable. It's a little louder but not by much, I just prefer the look.

I too have the EU Arrow. Thought I was going to be disappointed by it not being as loud as my previous Arrow but it sounds nice when your giving it the beans..  :123:

When you mounted the arrow ... did you change the engine map? And did you feel any difference, good or bad, in the throttle response?

Im picking up an carbon SC Project exhaust this weekend ... its for the previous models, but im hoping it fits (i can try before i buy)
