It is stuck, cant get it out... any ideas
Why did they not use a torx or anything better than using a flat screwdriver

Search the site.  Numerous threads already on the subject.  You'll get sick of reading about the pluses and minuses of copperslip / where to apply and not apply.  You'll also learn of PaulVFR stainless pins.

Get as big a Torx as will fit into the hex head, or slightly bigger.  Hammer it in and remove pin.  Works a lot of the time.

the bit with the flat screw driver head is just a grub screw, short to prevent the pin from undoing and coming out, remove this 1st, then you will need a allen head to remove the pin your other arrow points to.

Re-attach the calliper, then get a big LONG flat blade driver that is a good fit in the slot of that grub screw.

I always use my longest drivers to undo, get more force on the job, with some torque reaction, less chance of chewing up the slot. Tighten with normal driver. To each his own on this method, always worked for me.

NO! Do not use anything other than, imo a dab of copper slip.
