Shakedown ride

1st service done on my new XR, off for a shakedown ride next week, praying to the snow gods... :015:

3 nights in Germany with a pal, then he's off home, i'm riding down to Basel (got a weeks work there), then a ride down to the Med for a look around.....

last Dec got caught in a snowstorm in Germany, tried to make it to hotel, but we both dropped bikes a few times, Tracer slides well at 20 mph.....still got a bump on me knee.... :002:

been riding in EU last 10 years in December, only caught  in snow once,  :148: otherwise I don't mind the cold with decent gear

Me anorl m8, I don't mind the snow, as long as it's in summer. Ha. Timmelsjoch pass in June.

We got over ok




It was far worse in 2012, the col de l'iseran was under 20 feet of snow, all the high passes were closed in mid June. Go another year and they're open in May. Should've checked first.

i'll be sticking to lowland motorways only, any threat of bad snow and i'll stay put in hotel.... :028:
