Hi from Wamboin Australia
« on: December 16, 2018, 12:16:47 PM »
Hi all. Finally made the decision on getting an 800 XRT. It is a 2015 version and i pick it up from Melbourne and rode it back. 550 km is the longest ride I have managed on a bike but arrived home feeling I want to go further. :001: the cruise control was just the best, love the bike.
This forum helped me decide on getting a triumph, so well done to those folk that contribute. It really is informative and full of great knowledge.
I look forward to maybe catching up with some of the Aussie riders down the track.
Cheers,
Andyroo800 :031:

Welcome Young Andyroo!

Like you, I am also new to this Triumph party, biting the bullet in Mar this year for a spanking new MY17 800 XRT.  I truly think I have found my motorcycling nirvana, with the go-anywhere practicality of my (now sold) '07 Suzuki DL650 Wee Strom, the aural sound track of my classic '78 Honda CBX 6 and the cozy creature comforts of a high end Beemer.  What's not to love?

You will grow to really love this bike and rest assured there are plenty of blue big sky days cruising comfortably across this wide brown land in your future.

Would love to meet up for a ride sometime (I'm in the Inner West of Sydney) with you and Bikerjimbob and another member on here over the holiday season.  Flick me a pm and we can sort something out.

Have fun and keep the rubber side down.

Tony.

Sounds like a good plan Tony, would be great to meet up over the holiday season, a good mate of mine that I go kayaking with has a 2017 XRT and he would love to join us for sure.
