Bought an 18 XRT in a rain storm.   Glad to have a light weight bike.

Hi and :401:

If your 18XRt has the same horrible Metzler Tourance Next tyres that 15/16 XRt's came with then you'll feel even better in the wet once you eventually renew with decent tyres.  :028:

They're Tourance next on the 18.  Didn't know there were issues with this tire. :155:      One reviewer said they made the handling sharper and found they were a very high mileage tire. (nearly 12,000 miles)

:451: (by me) I know, but thanks for that comment, Stevie.P
I thought it was just me that couldn't abide by these tyres in the wet, and I'm planning on installing some Roadtec 01 tyres come spring.
I wonder why Triumph fitted these horrible tyres.

You will find plenty of negative posts on the Metzlers in the tyre section and only a few positive comments. Roadtec 01 and a 110/80 radial on the front will transform the handling.  :028:
