Thanks! I thought that it were different on the roadie.
Is that a good oil? Also I read a lot about people putting 7.5W or 5W instead of recommended 10W. My weight is about 95Kg if that matters chosing new oil.
I want a very good oil

Hours of fun discussing fork oil.  There was a thread here years back search Black Rhino, with a list of fork oils and their stroke index.  Not all oils of the same "weight" have the same stroke index.

The oil works for me, but, I am only 83kg in full kit, 73 in normal clothes.

Hi, did you get this kit? Is it decent quality?
I have a small seep from one of my seals so need to replace them.
Does anyone know the sizes of the seals? Cant find mention of the diameters anywhere.
Cheers

"crispey", before you think about replacing your seals, if you only have a small weep, purchase a Seal Mate (Amazon etc) and give the seals a clean. I have used Seal Mate on two occaisions (both legs) and that has cured the problem.  :031:

Thanks for the info, I made my own and it has gone from a leak to a weep, probably got a bit of grit out but a bit too late I think.

Finally used the seals I referenced above. While the oil seal was ok I had my doubts about the dust seal, as it was a pig to locate and didn't go flush. Needless to say I now need to redo as it all started leaking a little too easily, so bit the bullet and ordered Triumph oem seals and dust covers.

Can anyone confirm orientation of the oil seal. In days of old the oil side was the spring side, but now they all seem to have two springs. So on Triumph oem seals which side is the oil side?

I just did my seals and dust covers on my 2012 2 weeks ago.  Staying home all the time is forcing me to finish working on it before spring melt panic.  I used the triumph OEM ones and it went quite well, hopefully they last this time.

The first one took 2 of us an hour+, the second one took us about 20 minutes.

Edit: Not real sure about how to tell but based on the ones we removed the part of the seal with the gap in it goes up.  Like it's kind of U shaped, put the open part up?

2010-2013 Triumph workshop manual states 'ensure the seal is positioned with the text end facing the circlip. Use a new circlip'. Does this help?  :027:
