:008: I know that, but with you being 'mature' I was being nostalgic for you. The pfennig was around from the 9th century until 2002 .. (euro) cents .  :026: baby on the block.  :038:

Still have bottles of spirits in my cabinet with DM price labels on from pre-89. Though down to my last unopened bottle of Apfel Korn. :116:
Also owned my 1979 Bonnie T140E from new!

We don't stop playing because we grow old .. WE GROW OLD BECAUSE WE STOP PLAYING!!!

Cheers Paulhere ( no pun intended!)  I never thought to look there!!

To keep on topic,  this is the beauty of touring...seeing new things tasting new foods....I watched a tour of Scotland by Erik Peters where he tries haggis for the first time..and loved it, even touring the UK no one can have sampled everything!.....

Ha, the White Stag at Strathyre (near Callander) does a grand Haggis, neeps & tatties. Campsite 8 mins walk.

We've toured Italy over the past 20'odd years since the kids left home. Always stop off at Lake Garda, our favourite of all the lakes in Northern Italy. We always camp, sometimes at Moniga on our way to the Adriatic or at Assenza on our way back if we're heading through Austria. We've walked the east side of the lake, 10 or 12 miles a day, get the bus back, then bus to where we left off & walk another stint. See a lot more of places than just riding through. Air conditioned bus is nice when temp's 40c, we got bus to Verona a couple of times.

Looking forward to pics of your adventure. We were recently at Moniga del Garda camping Piantelle, got back 4 weeks ago, you'll have a great time, the people are fantastic, so friendly. Great fun with them teaching me to speak Italian.
