G'day mate
« on: January 24, 2019, 11:47:44 AM »
haha, another Aussie Tiger Owner, this one is way south in Melb Vic, but bought my bike to go touring in FnQ later this year.

Its a second hand 2015 with only 15k on the clock but a pile of goodies like Scorpion pipe, Madstad screen, touring seat, Power Commander V, PC Auto tune ... etc.

So looking to set it up with some smart mods.  Cheers.  :001:

Thanks guys,
have had a Gen 2 Bandit for 15 years which has lots of changes all picked up from Max-Suzuki in the US so looking forward to exploring the forums here for good ideas.

Actually picked up one the other day as I brought the fork tubes up about 30mm to smarten up the steering and drop the ride height a fraction and saw someone suggest putting a 2mm washer on the bottom mount for the side stand to allow it to lean over a bit further.

Wow worked like a bought one but a b#tch to get the bolt back into the round threaded mount for the centre stand.

FWIW, my local Dyno Mechanic gave some good advice before I bought the bike, suggesting to be aware if the bike had done serious offload as we get fine dust in some areas and to be honest the standard paper element struggles.

When I pulled it down it was really clean but now it has a new K&N and a Finer Filter pre sock which catches like 90 ~ 95 % of all the dust and takes 5 mins to change over keeping the main filter sparkling clean.
Cheers

I hear it's a little toasty down under. Is it too hot for riding a motorbike? Welcome to the forum, ride safe and enjoy the new wheels. :031:
