The Unifilter prefilter should be standard in Australia IMO. With one there is no need to replace the paper filter which means you never need to muck around for an hour or so just to get the tank off and on the check the filter. I know people who carry a spare Unifilter on rides then just change the pre filter every couple of days in outback conditions and clean the removed one ready for reinstallation.
