Garage insurance.

skinneroo:
My current home insurance only covers my garage contents up to 2000.
This is way too low and the insurers won't increase it.
My question is, does anyone know of a garage contents only policy?
I've tried an online search,to no avail. :003:

samsgrandad:
Have you looked to change insurers? Some companies have a garage limit of 5k.

The other way would be to see if you could specify some of the items on an 'all risks' policy, depending on what you are looking to cover.

skinneroo:
Yeah, going to look at that when the insurance is up for renewal.

Is there a reason you haven't simply registered your bike insurance as 'garaged' which would surely cover its value. The only downside, AIUI not having a garage, is if registered as garaged then it has to be in there every time within something like 300m of home, even something like leaving it outside the garage when home during daytime or after washing etc., will invalidate the insurance cover if there was an incident and they found out.

It's the amount of tools and equipment I have that I need to cover.
