Whilst that ^ is no doubt a fine modern (smart) charger and at a good price -- it is, however, a car charger.
It's charging out-put is 3.8 A -- could be too much?
Triumph specs a 1.4 A (max) charging rate.
A similar smart charger for motorcycles (not Aldi) has a 1.1 A charging rate.
Old poem from 'back in the day':
You'll never wear out the Indian Scout -- or its brother the Indian Chief.
They're built like rocks to take hard knocks -- it's the Harleys that give all the grief.

I bought one of these before Christmas.
Its a great charger, that unlike the others I've had from Aldi/Lidl, will start charging automatically.
It will charge my 6v Flathead battery and  Tiger battery  with ease, and is also good for car battery's
Very good value imho..

I stand corrected -- thank you.
There is a motorcycle mode with charging at 0.8 A (which would be satisfactory).
Car mode is 3.8 A.

:0461: Had my Aldi charger for 4 years...it has a motorcycle mode and it's a cracking little charger, came with a 3 year warranty, but for 13 quid I'm at Aldi tomorrow to buy the new model. :152:

Looks like some of the the bad reviewers were a bit deluded... expecting it to revive a dead defunct battery? For the money it IS a bargain.  :169:
