Whats best
« on: February 06, 2019, 01:31:32 PM »
Hi Guys
Recently bought an 800 and am using it for a daily 40 mile commute, I am normally fussy about a bikes appearance and have taken steps such as applying ACF 50. I plan to spend a while cleaning bike on Sundays , I was wondering apart from a spray of lube to the drive chain if bike gets a soaking what other measures  if any would you advise after returning home each evening and prior to putting bike into garage.

Thanks in advance

Allan

I use my Tiger for my 38mile e/w commute, I've treated it with acf50 I also lube the chain once a week and hose off any salt that may be on the bike. I give the bike an inspection once a week and that's it. In the summer I clean and wax about every two weeks. Depending on your washing schedule you might have to reapply the acf50 more frequently.

Djalz I used a compressor and a spray gun to apply the acf50, warmed up the acf50 first. I came out in a very fine mist and got into every nook and cranny, covered the wheels and brakes first. Hopefully the treatment will last until the spring.
