Austrian Moto GP Trip August.
« on: February 11, 2019, 08:06:24 AM »
Hello folks,
So, it was my birthday at the weekend and was surprised by my better half with a weekend pass to the Austrian Moto Gp in August!! Plus unbeknown to me my biking buddies misses had got him the same for his birthday in January!! We were thinking we were doing the NC500 this year but happy to leave that for another time.
So me and me mate are heading off on an awesome lads trip and looking for tips! Been on the route planner over the weekend and thinking Black Forest, Alps, Dolomites, Grosslockner etc. Any suggestions for a good route back from southern Germany? Would love to do a different route back than going.
We did North Spain and Portugal last year and averaged about 270 miles a day but think we may need to have a couple of boring days on motorways to bring the average up.
With the 3 days at the race Im thinking four days down and four days back.
So has anyone on here done this trip or similar?
Looking forward to hearing your ideas.
Cheers Pen.
