Where is the alarm connector - simple hazard light fix
« on: February 24, 2019, 04:06:39 PM »
Hi, I have read the post on the simple work around for hazard warning lights, where is the alarm connector? I assume it's under the seat somewhere? I have a 2014 Tiger 800, cast wheels.
Your assistance would be appreciated.
Thanks Bob :465:

It's under the rear seat in a black plastic box

Simple enough but don't get the diodes the wrong way around.

Hi, Diodes, didn't read that as part of the simple :465: fix?

Are we talking same mod?  Power from the indicator relay to the alarm connector (2 pins) with a diode on each of the two pins.  I'll dig out my notes.

Hi, Thanks for your reply. The mod I am referring to is for installing hazard warning lights. My 2014 Tiger doesn't have them fitted as standard.

Yup.  I did that years ago.

Version 2 of the this link:

You are correct  - for version 1- no diode but you need to activate indicator switch then 2nd switch for hazards.
