2018 fog light wiring
« on: March 02, 2019, 08:20:41 PM »
Hi all, owner of a 2018 tiger, I know there are several posts regarding installation of after market fog lights Wired up to white socket under pillion seat, my issue is that I've used this to wire up my sat nav and guessing I can't run both lights and sat nav off of this, does anyone  have any advice as the best way to resolve this issue. Also is there a wire loom that anyone can recommend. Many thanks

The correct fog light connector that you should use is located under the right side faring near the radiator top rt corner. It is switched at the left hand grip switch assembly and you need to put in a relay in the oem relay socket.
Laterally unstable unless moving.

I'm sure I don't have a fog light switch on my bike, should have said it's an xrx or does it run off the high beam switch?

It helps if you update your profile to show Tiger 800 model and year.
That way you don't have to keep repeating that info in posts.

I have the same bike, albeit the lo version, all the wiring and switch is fitted as standard. The switch is on the left cluster towards the front, the wiring is routed to connectors alongside the radiator. The missing parts are the lamps and brackets and a relay, the relay is a standard omron (i can flog you one if you need it), and plugs into a socket near the others, there is a dust cap fitted which covers the relay socket (left front).
The switch is a push on push off design, this activates the relay via the ecu, it only works when the main lights are on , NOT when the led running light is selected.

Fantastic, fog light switch found, a couple more questions, do you know what connectors are required to plug into the socket? Is the relay in question plugged in under the seat? Ordered the  Chinese cree  single mode lights so hoping these will be ok (any photos would be great)

The relay required goes with all the others under the front seat. I dont know what brand the connectors are, assume same make as the white one under the back seat just with two terminals

Can I take you up on your offer on the relay switch unless its easier for you if I purchase off eBay or Amazon. Not very electrical savvy so would need details of ratings
