Pretty off topic but "beyond the Pale" effectively meant the area outside Dublin which was viewed by the British as lawless and a wilderness.

The Pale (as in Dublin and surrounding counties) was seen as a supporter of British Rule in the late Middle Ages.

Dubliners to this day are referred to as "Jackeens"  pejoratively due to their perceived support of the Union Jack in the 1800's.

Conversely country folk are referred to as "culchies" by "jackeens"

Welcome to our complicated and shared history!

Anyway back to all things Triumph
