Hi from Massachusetts
« on: March 17, 2019, 04:28:38 PM »
Bought a new Tiger 800 xrx low for my daughter and I to share.  She's 5'-2" and I'm 5'-6"

I normally ride a Honda Goldwing GL1800 but wanted a second bike with less weight and more open riding for warmer days.

She normally rides a Honda Shadow 750 but she's out grown it in skill level and it just scrapes the pegs in the corners.

So we're going in on this bike together to share.

I rode it Friday to work for the first time (unusually warm at 60 degrees for March).  Love the riding position.  Love the adjustable wind shield.  Simple electronics and I was able to change riding modes on the fly which was great as I drove through some dry roads and then came across roads with fresh snow melt across the road and switched to rain mode easily.

The low seat position will work well for both of us.

Hoping we enjoy this as much as we think we will.  Almost bought the speed master but we chose function over form.  Speedmaster is a beautiful motorcycle but I think this Tiger is more functional for the riding that we do.

Welcome Joel, from NYS. It must be very rewarding to go out riding with your daughter.
