Very Flexable Turn Signals
« on: March 21, 2019, 12:34:27 AM »
Greetings All,  :490:

Although I haven't had the opportunity to knock off my turn signals on past 800XC or my present 800XR, I wanted to put these flexible LED turn signals on before I experience the classic broken dangling Tiger 800 turn signal out on the trail. I'm sort of a newbie with forms so I put all the info available into my photo album titled "My Tuff light installation". Follow starting with picture 1. They are plenty bright as well. Comments & ?s welcome.

Cheers-N-Beers!

Looks good.  Personally I would have moved them higher, but otherwise  :028:

Mounting up near headlight is brilliant..great idea!! I may still do that and use a blank tab over stock signal position. Thanks for feedback!!

Looks good Kildareman, I have just bought the same indicators.

Removal of existing indicators, loosen allen nut and pull through, cables as well?

Or is it a removal of panels and loosen from behind? :465:

Looks and feels like removal of panel next to radiator and loosen from behind, feels like a nut & bolt connection to the fairing. Then fabricate a piece of steel of aluminium from plus/minus 4 cm drill two holes and fix onto nut holding fog lamps :087: :087:

Not a difficult job.  A little fabrication - new attachment.  Remove the panels with the indicators attached.  Remove indicators.  I cut the Triumph connectors off the Triumph indicators and attached to new indicators rather than remove Triumph connectors from the bike loom.  Soldered and heat shrink applied.
