Xcx rear spring
« on: March 21, 2019, 10:53:39 AM »
Hi!
Purchased a Xcx -15 just before winter.
Planning to take a long trip with my girlfriend as pillion.
I am wondering about the rear spring, if it can hold up with me coming in at about 100kg without gear and my girlfriend weighs about 60kg. I have never taken a long trip on two wheels so I don't know how much luggage we will be carrying with us. I will be using Trax Adv panniers and no Top Box.

If the spring wont hold up, can you guys recomend a spring that will? :)

Thanks! /William

The manual states: "Never exceed the maximum vehicle
loading weight of 222 kg (489 lbs)."

So 100kg + 60kg leaves 42kg for luggage.

Laterally unstable unless moving.

Will it handle both of you? Certainly, but the shock will be past its useful limit. The WP shock is woefully under sprung.
