Metzler Karoo 3
« on: April 09, 2019, 12:22:37 AM »
I am currently running Metzler Karoo 3's on my 12 Tiger 800 XC. After 3000 miles/4828 kilometers, I am well satisfied. These tires are a little noisy; but they are wearing very well.  They perform very well off pavement in gravel, dirt, ans mud. They do pretty well in sand; but Florida's sugar sand is rough to go through on any tire. They have good grip in the wet and do well touring at high speeds. These tires definitely fit my style of riding. They are a 60/40 tire.  I will replace my current set with another Karoo 3 set.

Thank you for the info CarlS, I am considering those tyres for my 2018 XCA,  Had Mitas E07 on my 2015 XCX but front tyre started to develop cracks at the base of the blocks.  Will try the Metzlers as soon as the originals wear out!!!
