Belfast- cork- Galway - Sligo
« on: April 18, 2019, 07:57:03 PM »
Hello
We have just booked ferries to Ireland for a 1 week trip and I was wondering if anyone can recommend hotels with bike parking in any of the above cities. We are just planning on doing a big loop after 1st night in Belfast so any recommendations or tips would be good.
Thank you

For Belfast, the city centre Holiday Inn may work for you
They let us park in the (locked) service yard

Does it have to be Belfast? how close to the centre do you want?

Tinkering is what happens when you try something you dont quite know how to do, guided by whim, imagination, and curiosity.

Hello and thanks for the reply. City centre would be best, just for ease and a Saturday night out when we arrive. After that the plan is to head south /west and try and tour about for 4 or 5 days. We usually go to Europe but just wanted something easier to arrange and a change this year.

Get yourselves over to the west coast and do the WAW (Wild Atlantic Way) it's brown signed all the way and there's one stunning vista after another. Did a loop of Ireland couple of years ago really impressed with the whole island surprised how many miles we did though 2500 from Huddersfield to Scotland over to Ireland back to Scotland then home to Huddersfield. Loved every minute o it.
Enjoy your bike, even if it's a 20 year old Honda cub or the latest track tool, it's still a bike. Too many bike snobs out there for my liking.
