Brake Lever, Indicator Lens
« on: April 25, 2019, 10:36:09 AM »
After putting bike down the other day, top tip, check which gear you are in before attempting a U-turn on narrow scottish lane as 4th gear will mean you will stall and lose your balance  :110: :013: I'm in need of a Brake lever (i bust the end off it) and a Indicator Lens Cover (same side as brake lever) for a 2017 XCX if anyone has a spare and before I get ripped off by Triumph  :435:

Cheers

:006: I know the feeling. Simply couldn't hold mine when it went off balance stationary and it fell same side. But in addition to end of brake lever and indicator lens the whole assembly punch out a hole on the panel it mounts on. New panel, indicator lens and some folding levers . and 120 lighter for a simple lay down. Lower engine bars took a little scuff (easily touched in with some black paint) but certainly keep the casings clear of damage. :013:
Also owned my 1979 Bonnie T140E from new!

You can get a brand new pattern indicator lens cover for 8 on ebay. They fit just fine, I should know, I've needed 2 so far!  :164:

I've also fitted folding levers, last time she had a lay down it saved my clutch lever!

Looking at the non-oem ones they all seem (according to the photo anyways) to have a more sweeping curved design where as my original bust ones looks like the photo attached i.e. more angled. Has anyone bought a non oem "pattern" one that looks like that?  I'm actually thinking i'll go for something like the 3rd party fold-able variety as per previous post. Anyone fitted them, recommend any that are in the UK, i did like look of the Puig ones but not found somewhere in UK that supplies them, stand to be corrected of course  :017: The ones on previous link look good too but not sure about the colour and they look short and would prefer regular length/expandable.  Cheers again all though  :031:

Managed to find a complete OEM indicator unit for 12 on ebay, now fitted all OK. Also went with the fold-able levers above, ordered from China through Aliexpress, 21! including delivery for both which took less than 2 weeks to arrive and tracked all the way.
