Are we getting "meeting up again" and Mega Meet locations mixed up here?
I thought Mega Meet 2020 will be in Wales; therefore if Mark and Uli are both there, then they'll meet in 2020. If neither of them are there, but both attend the Mega Meet 2021, which is in Germany, then they will in fact meet in 2021.
Ha, that was easy........., not!
that's what I was trying to say. Thank you for the translation

btw: I said major problem for a Megameet over here will be finding a hotel, does not seem to be that complicated as I live nearby Frankfurt, major place for fairs and exhibition. There are some big hotels catering for the people going to those fairs and exhibitions which therefore have low business on weekends. Hotel with 200+ rooms should be ready to accomodate you lot. First route is already planned in basecamp needs to ridden in real life in this combination but the roads I used have seen me frequently....

Well, what to add to the description that Rocket stated on the 'MM picture thread' ....

it was an amazing day, as those there will testify. So mainly for those not there then ... we split, due to numbers, into 2 groups, the 1st purely riding and the 2nd with the addition of stopping for some fantastic picture moments, hence a lot of pics of group 2 and scenery and not a lot of group 1.
...

Now to start putting a bit away and saving for next year (and this years MiniMeet if one develops?).

Thanks Steve.P for some fabulous write-ups and pics. You captured the 2 days brilliantly...even that bloody horse!  :001:

here's a link to the "arrow shot" (really new to me 360 degree video cam footage) :038: this is my experimental edit (god its a complicated bit of kit)  :187:

to anyone not in group 2 you will not know the reference to the arrow shot (the selfie stick that holds the camera)  :156:

hope you all enjoy it , there may be different edits if and when we get some sh*t weather and I cant ride or walk in the lakes  :492: :047:

Well all the above did come to fruition and was well worth it. On the one hand a great shame so many had to leave for home and miss the ride but on the flip side great having a small group allowing for very 'spirited' progress, as said elsewhere lead rider Hartsideman led the ride and route on his 765 Street Triple.

After Saturday evening discussions a late start of 10am was agreed:
Hartsideman - Street Triple
Rocket - BMW GS
fac191 - Yamaha Super 10
Rozzer - Tiger Sport
Stevie.P - Tiger 800
Wullie - Tiger 800
Derchef - Tiger 800

The traffic overall was minimum but the pocket rocket bike brigade were out in numbers, fortunately all seemed to be travelling the opposite way to our group and so mile after mile of open clear road was ours.  :046:

We had a morning 'ice cream' stop at the summit of Alston, ...

. so, for those above.
