RETRO FITTING CRUISE TO 2015 TIGER 800 XCA
« on: June 15, 2019, 03:12:45 PM »
Good afternoon ,
Newbie  here thinking of buying a 2015 Tiger 800 xc it doesn't have cruise as standard. Has anyone retro fitted the Triumph parts to this model thus achieving cruise?. Is it a case of just changing Rh handlebar switch? somewhere i read clutch lever needs changing as theres an extra tab for microswitch?

I have spoken quickly to two dealers who have given opposite advice. Its Saturday so no Triumph to fall back on.

Sorry if this topic has been previously exhausted.
regards Tia
Steve

Buy one with CC if that's what you want, it'll save you a whole heap of hassle and money

Not a product push,  just suggesting as an option....

The Mccruise brothers have an excellent aftermarket electronic cruise control.

I've used one on my 2012 800XC when I bought it new, and another on  my CB1300 over 12 years ago.

Great product as you say Chuck but the 15 XCX is ride by wire and AFIAK MC Cruise are not making cruise control units for RBW bikes.
To the OP. Anything is possible but the cost associated with retro fitting a factory cruise control would be horrendous. It would probably be cheaper overall to sell your bike and a buy another one with cruise control fitted. You best option for a cost effective solution would probably be some form of throttle lock.
