Front Wheel Bearings 800 XRX 2015
« on: July 07, 2019, 07:33:01 PM »
My front bearings are foobarred...

Looking at previous posts, think I need:

1) 2 6204 DDU C3 bearings
Looking at SKF Bearings they don't appear to call them DDU  - looking at DRS ?

2) 2 x 35 / 47 / 6 Seals

Can anyone confirm that these sizes are right for my bike ?

Cheers

I believe the bearings are the same across the gen 1 and 2 at least. I have this previous post bookmarked if any help.

Ok..... just an update

Bearings cost 7.80

Seals cost 5.09

So that's 12.89 for all parts required... inc delivery.

Removal:

Tried my trusty shielded anchor bolt but alas would not grip enough so bit the bullet and went for the split coller type bearing remover that muddysump uses in his video - made the job a doddle!
I bought the full sealey kit for 52 Gulp.

But you can buy the 20mm coller separately direct from Sealey for 16 delivered.

Any how,  bearings in the freezer for an hour and twas an easy install.

Not had time to test ride yet.... but hopefully JD !

Oh.... memo to self.... next time DON'T ride through flood water even if it saves you a shed load of time... cos it will come back and bite you in the...
