Sorry to hijack this thread but Ive just noticed the list of bikes that youve owned at the bottom of your post Tigermainia. It made me smile and I reckon that you must be at least 2 years older than I am since I got my bike licence as soon as I could at age 16 in 1963. I have owned quite a few of the same bikes, including your first bike and now our XRts, although you have owned many more as I gave up biking while my kids were growing up.

3 (I think) for me at 12k. Had been tempted to leave them having come from a bike that did 75k without needing a single adjustment, but glad I didn't.

Mine needed 10 at 24,000 miles. Only two exhausts were in spec. Just checked and adjusted again at 68,000 miles. All inlets were tight and all exhausts were in spec.
