'spose I'd better do a bit better that that now I'm not using just a phone

In a nutshell, it's a brilliant, addictive piece of kit

Things I like

1. The engine - it just pulls and pulls with perfect fueling
2. The tech - mine has all the tech toys on it, I love gadgets
3. The suspension - semi active, it's always just doing a great job, you hardly notice it
4. The balance and handling - helped by the suspension, the handling is close to perfect in most situations**. It's the sort of bike that has you putting you feet up within half a second of setting off, even doing U turns.
5. Long fuel range ~200 miles
6. Maintenance costs, 9000 mile intervals ~250 @9K, 450 @ 18K etc. parts are reasonably priced eg Hand guard 30, Mirror 35 - (don't ask  :034: )
7. It isn't a BMW

Things I don't like

1. ** at very high speed (120mph+) when loaded up with luggage, the front can get a bit light and start a bit of a weave.
2. It gets hot in traffic, very hot this year in Spain

I've had it nearly 18 months now and it's been faultless, 2 big Euro trips and the only issue has been some crud in a fork seal causing it to weep, a quick clean sorted it.

Well. i've gone and done it!
2016 Lupin blue se , private sale.

Picked up from Poole and rode back to Chesterfield, dodged most of the rain.

First impressions as I have never ridden one before ,(compared to Tiger 800).

Steering feels really slow and heavy on roundabouts and tight turns.
Feels rock solid and stable on motorway.
Brakes-awesome!
Cruise control-bonus.
Navigator v, haven't figured all the settings out yet , but can see f*** all when the sun shines.
At slow speeds you are aware of a mechanical lump beneath you, clunky.
Quickshifter- ace.
Switchgear--vast improvement.
Finally, the torque omg!!!

All in all, a totally different riding experience to the Triumph, not better, different.

Will stay on board the forum if you will allow it?

Got to get the Tiger sold now.

Cheers

Andy
